Who are we?

The New York City Junior Volleyball Association (NJCJVA) is a not for profit organization formed in 1993 under the direction of Doug Levine. It is a section 501(c) (3) organization that seeks to expose girls to various levels of the game of volleyball. Athletes range in age from 10 to 18 years and live within New York City and the surrounding areas.

Goals & Philosophy

NYCJVA believe in working with girls of all backgrounds to develop and promote skills in teamwork, responsibility and self-discipline as well as provide quality training in the physical, cognitive and social domains pertaining to volleyball. In doing so, we hope that our athletes will be able to apply what they’ve learned to their everyday lives.

Achieving Our Goals

  • promoting volleyball at an early age
  • competing locally, regionally, and nationally
  • providing experienced and qualified coaches
  • designing  programs that will develop athletes physically and mentally
  • supporting academics
